Tupac Martir, Artist and Founder of Satore Studio, presents three unique physical and digital works named “Cipi I” for the Gazelli Art House exhibition, ‘.ext’, which are dropping on Open Sea certified by Verisart. ‘.ext’ is the first show that is dedicated to crypto art by Gazelli Art House and it sets the groundwork for the ambitious NFT project for the gallery.

“Cipi I ” is taken from Martir’s Unique project, influenced by his graphic novel made up of 96 phrases and drawings which he curated over an 18 month period. In his work, Martir questions human identity and feelings such as fear and joy.

‘Cipi I” means butterfly in Huichol and is the latest extension of a bigger concept called Unique. “Cipi I” takes inspiration from the drawings and music and explores the evolution of a human, the transmutation of life and death. The piece is currently in three moments called Yici, that translates to different. Although all three are similar in elements, they vary in their execution and technique.

Unique is a ground-breaking production composed of different art forms and technology that combines the heritage of the ancient Greek proscenium theatre to the 21st century within a modern and poignant way incorporating XR technology. The Performative-R piece integrates live music, dance, set design, AR, VR and projection performances into an emotional journey of  one’s existence through the manipulation of the senses, improvisation and  real-time graphics into one united piece.

Martir began Unique by tracking his thoughts after waking up, the first thought he had he would write down. This process was ongoing for ten to fifteen years. These waking thoughts were then coded by Martir into a creative algorithm, which are then translated into music. The dancers respond to this and create unique performances. The many elements of

“Cipi I”; video, sculpture, and the geo-location feature are all within the framework of ballet/operatic. The sculpture is a physical representation of the video and the video is a physical representation of Martir’s thoughts. Geo-positioning represents the work ‘lives’ within a physical space. Both the physical and digital represent the mind and body.

The physical element of the piece, the three sculptures are a physical representation of the thoughts of the ideas, taking space in the world, this existing as a physical entity, not just as a thought that could be forgotten.
